Treatment of periprosthetic fractures with well-fixed femoral components may be difficult to manage and internal fixation is often necessary though the optimal method of fixation has been debated. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the stiffness of 3 different constructs for the fixation of comminuted Vancouver B1 periprosthetic femoral shaft fractures.
