The issue of patellar resurfacing during TKA still continues to be debated. Although it has been shown that the risk of anterior knee pain (AKP) is greater in patients with non-resurfaced patellae, it is not exactly clear whether the pain would resolve with secondary resurfacing of the patella. The purpose of this study was to determine the outcome of secondary patellar resurfacing after primary TKA.
