Stiffness after total knee arthroplasty (TKA) is a disabling complication. Few studies have evaluated the results of revision of well-fixed components for stiffness and some authors have recommended against this intervention based on poor reported results. The purpose of this study is to analyze our results of revision TKA for stiffness. We hypothesize that revision of both tibial and femoral components will lead to significant improvements in range of motion (ROM) by optimizing component size, rotation, and ligament balance while facilitating a complete intra-articular synovectomy and posterior capsular release.
