Comparison of Physician and Patient Administered Harris Hip Score
Nina Shervin; Janet M. Dorrwachter; Charles R. Bragdon; Henrik MalchauHip
The Harris Hip Score (HHS) is the most widely used scoring system for evaluating the outcome of total hip arthroplasty (THA). The HHS remains a physician administered paper form. Its administration is time consuming which interferes with the workflow of a routine clinic. As a result, this score is underutilized. The purpose of this study was to validate a patient administered HHS in three different collection modes: paper, computer touch-screen, and web-based format.
