Acute Hematogenous Infection following Total Hip and Knee Arthroplasty

While the management of chronic infection after total hip arthroplasty (THA) and total knee arthroplasty (TKA) has been well described, there is a paucity of information presently available on the management and outcomes of patients treated for an acute hematogenous infection. The purpose of this study is to review our experience with treating acute hematogenous infections.
