Published Research in Hip and Knee Arthroplasty from the United States has Declined over the Past Decade Relative to Other Countries

A decline in hip and knee arthroplasty reimbursement has decreased the number of U.S. residents entering our subspecialty. In addition, increased surgical volumes have potentially decreased time available for research. Our hypothesis is that there has been a decline in hip and knee arthroplasty research in the United States relative to other countries over the past decade.
