Coxa Hospital for Joint Replacement is a health care pilot company, which was founded in 2002. The purpose was to centralize all joint replacement operations in one place and thus achieve significant economic and qualitative advantages.
The Pirkanmaa Hospital District has centralized all joint replacement surgery to Coxa Hospital since 1 September 2002. Previously, operations were done in five hospitals in the Pirkanmaa area. Currently, there are no surgery queues. After a patient is referred to a surgical procedure, it takes only 3 to 4 months to get the necessary treatment.
